Tim B. I first came across Faithless and Maxi when they were on Later with Jools Holland in 1997. I was just totally blown away! They showed me you could make electronic music with real instruments and Maxi showed me you could write songs with real meaning and which really connected with people. They're both still a massive influence on my own songwriting.

Ruud v. I realized what an impact Maxi had on my goosebumbs. Last time they did not show up. In the past it was guaranteed when Maxi did his “blessing” and broke down all the walls inside me and the made the crowd act as one. Thanks for that Maxi

Michael B. While Reverence had played in the background for me in the latter part of ‘96; at the end of that year and into ‘97, my life was falling apart and I frequently found myself wondering, “what’s the use in going on?” Reverence and Maxi’s voice and words became a more frequent companion. They helped lift me when I couldn’t lift myself. I tell people all the time that Reverence and Maxi saved my life because I know it to be true. His messages and memory stay with me always. 💓❤️💓

Steve W. The all time greatest song ever made, insomnia. I’ve heard maxi sing this so many times live and it’s in every dj set I ever played out

Helen P. Watching Faithless at Alexandra Palace on night, then a couple of days later seeing Maxi and the E Type Boys - and meeting the amazing man himself. Gracious, cool, super friendly. Everything you’d hope your hero would be. RIP lovely man.

Brian D. This is my Church, this is your Church. I was lucky enough to see Maxi & Faithless on many occasions to compliment my library of hits from them, to see and photograph him was a dream come through here in Dublin. Great memories from almost 30 years of dancing.

Graeme S. To be only a few rows from the front and see Maxi up there was a moment I shall cherish forever. The man was so smooth, so much power in the words he sang and the entire place bounced to his rhythm. Dearly missed, rest well Maxwell

Martin N. Maxi was my God, not the DJ he sang about. I never had the privilege of meeting him, but was privileged to see the band on numerous occasions over the years. The first time was in Sheffield in October 1999 and the last time in Manchester in December 2015. I saw them in Sheffield. Manchester, Nottingham. Birmingham and Doncaster on every tour. My greatest memory is when I saluted him at the end of a gig in Nottingham and he saluted me back. Thank you for the memories my hero.
